Avaliação do abrigo espacial das ondas no fluxo de momentum da interface ar-mar
Resumo: Laboratory experiments have reported that in the region of the
airflow separation (AFS) from the breaking waves, longer waves can shelter the shorter waves, which in this way will not contribute locally to the wave spectrum and wave momentum balance. Numerical approaches consider the sheltered area (Asc ) depending on a spatial sheltering coefficient ê, whose value is from 0 for no sheltered area to 2π for the total possible sheltered area. In this study, the importance of ê in Asc and its effect on the momentum flux and wave spectrum is investigated with idealized numerical experiments based on the conservation of momentum in the boundary layer above the sea for developed seas and wind speed in the range from 10 to 50 m/s. Three spatial sheltering coefficients, ê = 2pi, ê= pi, and ê =pi/4 obtained in literature, are evaluated in simulations.
