Summary: The decapod can be holoplanktonic living throughout their life cycle in the plankton, or present only larval stages in the plankton called meroplankton. The Decapoda holo and meroplanktonic are among the main components of the marine zooplankton, may represent more than 50% of the total planktonic biomass. These organisms are exposed to changes environmental and ecological that influence their chances of survival, development and dispersion in the plankton. Zooplankton samples were collected in two transects each with eight stations, during winter 2013 and summer 2014, obtaining 96 samples, by horizontal hauls carried out between 18h and 06hrs, including the water bodies in the region (AT, ACAS, AIA, ACS, APAN), through the network system MOCNESS. CTD profiles collected the physicochemical characteristics of the water column. Sub samples analyzed gave rise to a Chapter on two species of the Genre Lucifer Thompson, 1829 and its distribution in the Espírito Santo Basin and North Campos Basin. A second chapter, with data from other decapod larvae present in the samples, focusing on larvae brachyurans was structured. This study will present the results for the Decapoda (holo and meroplanktonic), providing information on its composition and spatial variation, associated with oceanographic patterns, that will subsidize future studies in the region.
